Hands Tesseract, or Hands Room, is a 3D Painting and Installation with Giant Hands measuring 10 x 10 x 15 feet, mixed media mainly acrylics on paper, created in 2019.

Hands Tesseract is a white cube facing inwards, constructed in a studio using 36 Giant Hands which I originally made for several Giant Hands installation in Central Park and a site specific Giant Hands Installation in a vacant bank space on the Lower East Side. Constructed and painted over several days. Hands Tesseract only stayed up for several days before being disassembled.

I assembled a cube shape using the Giant Hands for the sides which at this point were single-sided, with the white facing out and painted side facing inward. The top of the cube was made of suspended paper hands, intertwining and intersecting in the middle of the cube. The bottom of the cube was my Giant Hands painting simply laid on the floor.

Once I assembled the cube I started to over paint everything inside over several days. It became a kind of a 3D painted tableau - 3D painting inside a box scene.

When I completed it I invited several artists fiends to see it. Viewers were not supposed to walk on top of the painting with shoes but it happened.
