A Star Ship Day /
What a treat! Without Elon Musk we would be stuck watching the orscas, or maybe dribble, or whatever else idiots do these days. I was riding the subway and continued to rewatch Starship 3 flight and especially my favorite plasma sequence, the 33 raptors diamonds, the Starship space flips, the gridfins, I love the gridfins flapping around and etc wonderful things. I don’t know why this is not streamed on Times Square so we can all cheer on. I cried, got goosebumps, cried again and was very happy and changed my wretched mood from the last few months. Starship, SpaceX and Elon are the comforts, a big motivation and a big inspiration for my life. I realize that they are the reason NASA was energized out of its depression too. So we live on for the amazing things that will happen in the future.
Goosebumps! One day we will reach the stars and beoyond /
The most beautiful thing I've ever seen /
Cried /
Congratulations SpaceX and Elon Musk on the most awesome thing Earth has done in hundreds of years! /
Michael Moore was booed at the Oscars for condemning the invasion of Iraq, go fuck yourself with your statuettes, lol /
A bunch of clowns, every dog cat and a parrot on YouTube, and every idiot in their mom's basement acts. This has proven that the acting profession is a total idiocy for people who don't do anything.
On the other hand, I watched on Japanese television a Japanese man bow to their garbage man, and send their garbage people thank you letters. I think we should celebrate the street cleaners and the garbage people who keep our cities clean, and of course make sure to visit the Reddit piracy subreddit for fun.
Mars is like a Giant ate the planet and left broken dinner plates /
The high art of Japanese interiors in Shogun /
If there is high art - this is it.
I'm not going to discuss brutality here, and to be quite honest brutality does tarnish the beauty of art, I do not approve of it and it disgusts me. But because this is a television show I'm not going to give it the credibility to deserve some sort of philosophical discussion.
I'm also not going to discuss certain things that I've read about, certain problems that Japan has now in modernity as well as in the past. This is going to be a simple post about what I get high on, looking at it I get an adrenaline rush and tears in my eyes. I get very very emotional which is completely irrational and magical.
From the first moment I laid my eyes on Japanese gardens in a book 30 years ago I was madly in love with something that I cannot explain, that is just only from Japan. The most beautiful rooms I've ever been in in my life are rooms in Japan.
This is the beauty that in my mind I imagine as the perfect most high art in interior decoration. If I were to design the perfect room in some perfect world where I'd like to dwell, this is pretty much it.
The above screens are from the most recent show Shogun.
After seeing this the word couch sounds obscene.
I imagine working on a smooth wooden floor with a big fat brush.
By putting a couch in the living room people lose forever the opportunity to do cartwheels /
Watched The Hobbit and Lord of the Ring movies and cried /
My digital feed algorithm thought to throw in a footballer. For the record, dear algorithm, I don't give a shit if people kick a ball for a living, dogs do it better /
When I was little girl I dreamed of great adventures in space and read Isaac Asimov's novels /
Now on a quiet Sunday evening I look at vast surfaces of Mars on my computer, I'm watching SpaceX launch crew8 to the Space Station, I have a letter from NASA's boss on my shelf, I recall with much warmth my work on Star Wars, and I have a giant painting of Mars panorama in my room near my bed, which I'm going to continue working on tomorrow, I'm sampling various lovely science fiction books that I'm listening to on my phone, I never gave up on the dream.
And I imagine one day many centuries from now a young person is going to be sitting on a little Sunday in their little spaceship somewhere near small nebula in the vastness of space, scrolling through tales of Earth. Oh shit.
I feel privileged to be painting Har Decher for the first time in history. The hieroglyphs of the brush stokes are the language of rocks /

Incredible production design on Dune Part 2 /
It prompts visions of Mars and ancient Egypt. It is visually classes above anything I have seen recently.
